Nepal look to consolidate their position at the top of the ICC U-19 World Cup Qualifiers standings with a victory over PNG at Lodege road, Coleraine, Northern Ireland today.
Nepal stands 3rd in the 10-team standings with 10 points from 7 matches after Saturday's win over hosts Ireland. USA and PNG follow closely with 8 points each. Top six teams will join 10 full members in the U-19 World Cup in Australia next year.
After the improved batting performance against Namibia and Ireland, Nepali batsmen will be looking to put runs on the board. As usual the discipline bowling has been Nepal’s key weapon in their success and they look to continue with the same show against PNG, who are at the fifth position on the table with four wins from seven matches.
Nepal have their final game with USA after this game today on 9th August 2011.
The Nepal U-19S and PNG U-19S squad are as follows
