Bipana Bhurtel and Nisha Saru Magar won gold medals in the 17th International High School Karate and Kick Boxing Tournament on Sunday. Bipana defeated Rajshree of India to win the 25kg section gold while Nisha overcame Indian Priyanka Sagar to claim 35kg title. Other player winning gold were, India’s Sunita Gore (30kg) and Nepal’s Bimala Tamang (50kg). In kick-boxing, Ram Kumar Lama and Ishwor Dahal entered the semi-finals in the men’s 55kg, while Anupama Magar and Ritu Shrestha reached the women’s 60kg last four. In the men’s Kumite, Manoj Jung and Samit Bodke (20kg), Abhsihek Binayak and Rajesh Laxman Gaekwad (25kg) and Sudham Tamamage and Akti Ansari — all from India made it to the semi-finals.
