Nepal secured its third consecutive victory after defeating the UAE by 68 runs on Sunday in the ongoing ACC U-19 Women’s Championship being held in Kuwait. With the win, Nepal has increased its chances of reaching the semi-final stage of the tournament.
Electing to bat first at the KOC Unity Ground, Nepal posted a massive target of 159 runs against the UAE by losing eight wickets in the allotted 25 overs.
Indu Verma contributed the highest score of 32 runs for Nepal while Sonu Khadka scored 30 runs, captain Rubina Chhetri 13 runs and Mamta Chaudhary 10 runs to post such a huge total.
Nepal then restricted the UAE to 90/9 in 25 overs as Rubina alone grabbed four wickets for Nepal.
Nepal had defeated China by seven wickets and Malaysia by a huge margin of 97 runs in the previous matches.
