Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai is leaving for New York on Sunday evening, with a 13 member team to attend the 66th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Acting Foreign Secretary Durga Bhattarai and PM´s spouse Hisila Yami will be accompanying him on the trip.
Bhattarai will be attending a high-level meeting on nuclear safety. He is also set to attend a reception hosted by American President Barack Obama.
During the trip the PM is expected to meet leaders from China and India and also meet the PM´s of both countries.
He will address the UNGA on Thursday and return back to Nepal on Saturday.
PM Bhattarai has already briefed President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav on Saturday regarding the visit.
