India Won Nepal in penalty shootout in the second semi-final held at Dashrath Rangashala, Kathmandu, Nepal and entered the final of the SAFF U-16 Football Championship. India will play Pakistan on the Finals. Nepal took the lead in the 20th minute of the game from a brilliant goal by Rishi Thapa Magar.
India scored the equalizer through Laldanta Sanla in the last minute of injury time to equalize Nepal's first half goal. Nepal had played with a 1-0 lead for 70 minutes. Both India and Nepal failed to score the first shot in tiebreaker. The Indian goalkeeper saved the third shot to help India reach the finals and shatter Nepal's dream.
During shoot-outs, Nepali captain Heman Gurung and Umesh Thapa missed the shots.
