World Environment Day 2011 in Nepal

Nepalese gathered to hug trees during a mass tree hugging event on World Environment Day in Katmandu, Nepal, Sunday, June 5, 2011. The event, organized to spread the message of this year's theme to save the trees and save the earth, was also an attempt at creating a Guinness World Record for the maximum number of people hugging trees. The 879 people were hugging the trees for two minutes according to the organizers.
