Nepalese para-gliding pair set new record

Two paragliders yesterday set a new altitude record by leaping from the summit of Everest.

Lakpa Sherpa, 37, and Babu Sunuwar, 29, took to the skies from 29,000ft, with a gust lifting them 100ft above the peak.


The ­Nepalese pair then sailed 19 miles through the clouds in a trip lasting 43 minutes.
