Nepal stands third in the 10-team standings with six points from five matches after Wednesday’s loss to Canada. Namibia, Scotland and hosts Ireland also have six points but Nepal stay atop on better net run-rate. Top six teams will join 10 full members in the U-19 World Cup in Australia next year.
As usual the discipline bowling has been Nepal’s key weapon in their success and they look to continue with the same show against Namibia, who sit fourth in the table with three wins from five matches.
However, Nepal need to improve on their batting performance which saw them suffer a shock defeat against Scotland and the poor batting against Canada. None of the Nepali batsmen have been consistent so far.
