All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) officials on Friday announced that Nepal’s home match against Jordan during the second round of the 2014 World Cup Asian Qualifiers will be held at the Dasharath Stadium.
Earlier, ANFA had requested to play both home and away matches in Jordan citing the problem of ground maintenance.
However, following the success in the matches against East Timor in the first round of the qualifiers as well as pressures from fans and the team, ANFA wrote to AFC to host the home match in Kathmandu.
ANFA Vice-president Lalit Krishna Shrestha confirmed during a press conference on Friday that Nepal will play its home match on home ground.
Nepal is to take on Jordan in an away match on July 23 and in a home match on July 28.
