Dell doing well in Nepal

In the competitive market of laptops and Personal Computers, one brand name has survived by slowly creating a niche for itself and has just launched their new series.

“The response to Dell laptops in the Nepali market has been very good, and we are looking for it to become even better,” according to Ali Jaleel, GM for South Asia Developing Markets Group. He also added that it has a good partnership base in Nepal which is very essential as it is a strategic market for Dell. The South Asia Developing Market Group for Dell has twenty countries under it. Of which the brand is leading in Pakistan, while it is amongst the top here in Nepal as well. Dell has been around in Nepal for the past seven years but has picked up in sales and popularity in the last one year. “Dell is looking to expand in Nepal and is currently on the lookout to hire locals,” he said.“Dell holds fifty-two per cent of the market share in Nepal, and is taking the market aggressively as it is very popular,” said MD of Generation Next Communications Pvt Ltd — the authorised distributor for Dell, Pawan K Bhimsaria. Dell is popular for its innovative technology and more over for the competitive rates.
