The First Mt. Everest International Taekwondo Championships is set to begin from September 22, Thursday in the capital.
The event is being jointly organised by Nepal Taekwondo Association (NTA) and International Nepalese Taekwondo Association (INTA). According to the organisers, some one dozen countries are participating in the championships.
All together 140 players and official will participate the championship from the nations - Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, the UAE, the USA and Nepal, said organisers. The players will compete for 14 categories including eight categories for men and six for women.
A total of 81 players including 51 men and 30 women players will play for their respective nations during the championships. In the three day-long event, Including eight men and six women Nepali players will fight for their respective categories.
