Nepal Police have arrested two people, including a Pakistani national, and confiscated fake Indian currency with face value of Rs 5,494,000 from them.
Seikh Mohammed Fahim, a Pakistani national, and Sushil Kumar Singh were arrested yesterday from Blue Horizon Hotel in Thamel area.
The fake currency having denomination of Rs 500 and 1,000 were hidden in a carton.
A special squad of Kathmandu Metropolitan Police raided the hotel and arrested the two people along with the fake bank notes, the Deputy Inspector of Police Dhiraj Pratap Singh said.
Fahim had brought the fake currency notes in the country. The police was further investigating the matter.
